This class is for those who have never played the mountain (lap) dulcimer and those seeking a good foundation in learning to play. Topics include learning to tune, proper holding and strumming techniques, and playing basic chords and melodies. Material will be presented both aurally and visually. Dulcimers may be available for rent from a local music store; contact instructor for information.

Experience the joy of learning to play one of the oldest and most beautiful instruments - the harp. Gently glide into music-making with a solid foundation in plucking the strings, chord formation, and simple melodies. Students must provide their own harp, small lap-size to floor-size, single strung. Some may be available for rent locally with advance notice.
