About Lorinda: The Artist
Lorinda Jones is a nationally recognized Celtic Harp and Mountain Dulcimer performer and teacher.
Lorinda Jones is a nationally recognized Celtic Harp and Mountain Dulcimer performer and teacher, specializing in Celtic and American traditional music, currently teaching and performing at festivals, state parks, music camps, school assemblies, weddings, special events, and school residency programs through the TIP (Teacher Initiated Program), AIR (Artist-In Residence), and VSA (Very Special Arts) grant programs. She has taught and performed extensively in Kentucky, and in many parts of the United States, from Maine to Texas.
Lorinda has produced numerous CD recordings and instructional books (three of which are published by Mel Bay Publications), and are sold in stores across the United States. The recordings feature Lorinda’s expertise as a multi-instrumentalist, and an arranger.
Lorinda is a founding member of the Heartland Dulcimer Club in Elizabethtown. The club performs regularly for community events, non-profit fund raisers, as well as special paid events, and is the sponsor of an annual music festival attracting participants from across the United States.
Lorinda also directs the Harps for Life, a harp ensemblecomprised of students from her harp studio.
Lorinda plays solo, as well as a duo, trio, or mixed ensemble.

Deborah Couch
Debby Couch has made flute playing her pastime and passion since learning to play in seventh grade band in Covington, Kentucky. Teaching became her vocation with a BA from Morehead State University and an MA in counseling from Western Kentucky University. She recently retired (2007) after teaching for 32 years, mostly in the Hardin County School System in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. Her husband, Allen is a former band director and they have two children, Brian and Andrea.
Playing music remains high on her list of things to do with friends. She has performed in numerous ensembles and currently performs as part of a flute, violin, piano trio, “A Touch of Class”. Debby has recorded with the flute and most recently as a guest artist on the Celtic Harper with Lorinda Jones. Weddings, receptions, and special occasions will become a memorable event with Debby on flute and Lorinda on harp.
Greta Gillmeister
Greta Gillmeister began playing the Boehm flute in the second grade. Throughout school, she won solo competitions, chaired in All-County, All-Area, and All-State Bands, was selected to perform in master classes with such flutists as Jim Walker, Walfrid Kujala, and Michel Debost and has shared the musical stage with James Galway in a performance of the “Pied Piper Fantasy”. Greta has earned degrees in both flute performance and music therapy. She is now concentrating her interests and on the Penny whistle and Irish flute. Greta enjoys teaching private lessons, workshops, attending Irish sessions, and in general, playing with others that like to share in music making.
Mark Gatewood
Accompanying Lorinda on guitar and fiddle, Mark Gatewood is currently focusing on old-time and bluegrass music. With a background in jazz and rock, Mark “found his musical passion” when he discovered bluegrass. His most recent CD release, Picken’ On Me, showcases not only his passion for bluegrass, but also highlights his songwriting ability. Mark adds old time fiddling, guitar back-up, lead vocals, and vocal harmonies to the arts and humanities core content school performances and the performing group, Polk Sallet.
Martha Richard
Martha is known for her excellent teaching skills on the hammered dulcimer. She has taught and performed at festivals across the midwest, conducts the small hammered ensemble, "Foggy Dew Players", and is an active member and leader of the Heartland Dulcimer Club in Elizabethtown Kentucky. Martha performs solo wedding repertoire, sacred music, and traditional folk tunes on the dulcimer.
Larry Green
Larry Green is a fiddler from Nelson County Kentucky. Originally a student of “Fiddlin Bill Livers” in Owen County, Mr. Green now plays and teaches Irish, Scottish, and American old time music. He has played with in “Progress Red Hot String Band”, with Jim Webb in a traditional country duo, and with Cloigheann, a Louisville based Irish band. Mr. Green is also a regular at various Celtic music sessions in Louisville and Lexington.
Cathy Wilde
Cathy Wilde first picked up the Boehm flute in fourth grade and studied journalism and music at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana. Since college, Cathy has continued playing on an amateur basis with various ensembles and choirs, and has performed several pieces as a guest with the Louisville Mandolin Orchestra. Over the years, she has appeared on several radio broadcasts and well as audio CDs by various Louisville church groups and "Photo: Matt Stone" other recording artists. In the last few years, Cathy has begun learning to play the Irish flute and Irish "penny" or "tin" whistle". Cathy is also a member of the popular Louisville Irish band, "Cloigheann."
Rob Smith
Rob and Lorinda have been performing together since 1996, making his recording debut in Midwinter Feast, followed by other CD recordings, Cottages & Castles, No Shadows, and Another Winter Feast. Rob adds a beautiful depth of sound whether on violin, mandolin, or cello.
